I’ve been busy writing a novel since the turn of the year. Thankfully, I’ve gotten past the headache of writing it down. Time to publish it for y’all to read. Here’s a short summary.
The title of the book is called ”A TRIP TO HELL.”, set in Enugu and Lagos, both place in Nigeria. It’s about a fourteen-year-old boy called Chima. He lives in a sleepy village in rural Enugu where a primary school had been recently established. Unlike the rest of his peers, Chima refuses to enroll, instead he spends his time playing around the village. His stubborn refusal to attend school causes problems with his friends and his uncle. On realizing Chima wouldn’t budge, his uncle decides to relocate him to Lagos in order to teach him a bitter lesson.
The book is about 70k words and its main themes are education, peer pressure and contrasts between urban and rural settlements.
